More traffic = more sales, there's a definite link!
Every entrepreneur wants to sell more hair, but once the excitement of starting a business is over, it becomes a big challenge to keep selling.
As a factory salesperson, one of the questions we are often asked is "How do I sell more and faster after I buy your hair?" There are literally hundreds of answers to this question.
Today we will focus on how to use your blog on your website to increase your exposure and boost hair sales.
(Assuming you already have a website with built-in blogging capabilities, which is certainly fine if you're using Shopify, Squarespace, WordPress, or most other online eCommerce platforms).
Focus on one keyword per post
When writing your post, identify the keyword you want it to rank for in Google. Make sure you use the keyword multiple times in your blog title, sub-title, throughout the post and configure it in your SEO settings. The number of times a keyword appears in your post is called "keyword density" and Google recommends mentioning it in the first paragraph.
Word count
We recommend a minimum word count of 300 words and research has shown that well-written blog posts of 1,500-2,000 words will generally rank higher than shorter posts. If your topic is less than 300 words, please pair it with another idea. If you have a broader topic and can provide you with a longer blog post, then you have a good chance of having a blog post that ranks highly in Google.
Image tags
Because Google can't technically see what a photo is, its image tagging will give you the opportunity to help them. Google will thank you with a higher page rank if the image embedded in the blog post matches the content you have written.
Add a video
Create a specific corresponding video for your blog post and make sure you have uploaded it to YouTube, then embed it in the post. This will help get your post more views and keep readers on your site for longer. Of course, product videos can also be linked to it.
On-page links and tips
Links to other pages on your site as well as external resources can also help you with your posts.
Links to previous blog posts: it is important to know how to market your hair extensions.
Links to product pages: it is easy for customers to select and buy products directly.
Links to external websites: you can collaborate with other products.
Keep up to date
It is not necessary to write a post every day, but we recommend doing so at least once a week, especially during the initial phase when you can publish a blog post every day, then expect traffic to increase more quickly. Don't go too long without updating it as your customers may also want to know through the blog if you are still in business. If you want to sell more hair, you have to keep it updated! This actually applies to other social media as well.
After the blog is published, your work is still not done and it's in your best interests to get as much exposure as possible for this post. The more social shares you get on your blog post, the more Google will see it as popular and rank it better.
So, next, we need to share it on social media make sure you share your blog post on all social media platforms immediately. Of course, it can also be a good idea to schedule another week to post on your social media and change the text associated with the post, a move that is designed to attract attention and therefore increase traffic.
The increased traffic gives you a better chance of increasing sales. It all goes from a mere sales pitch to an online numbers game. It also gives you more access to customer emails, which can compound into greater sales and long-term customer relationships, doesn't it?
Stay tuned because the Seamhair team will be writing more articles on how to sell more successfully!
